The following morning, it was pretty cold; we hopped into the heated car and drove to visit this nearby lake before returning back to pack up our campsite. πŸ™‚

My Hubby very thoughtfully surprised me by keeping a simple travel/nature journal on the trip, in which he carefully outlined his and NT’s entire trip and activities. When they arrived home, Hubby presented the notebook, his photos, some rocks, a few videos meant just for the purpose of making me feel included, along with a little sit down where he shared even more details of the entire trip, and all of its “firsts”…..this all meant so much to me! The book is a private keepsake (the content of it, that which would not be of interest to most individuals), but I will share a what My Hubby wrote on the very last page of the journal:

Lessons Learned:

  • #1. Bring more sausage.
  • #2. Light sticks are a must.
  • #3. Even in the middle of summer, it gets cold at night in the mountains.
  • #4. Don’t Fly fish with NT until he is older.

Final Conclusions from The Trip: It was a wonderful success!!! We are beyond grateful for how well it turned out! Hubby and NT had so much fun; they are looking forward to future trips!

And, it is on our next Adventure and Lesson! Thank you for reading our much-anticipated post!!! πŸ™‚
